San Miguel Global Power Battery Energy Storage System (SMGP BESS) Power Inc. and the Provincial Government of Bataan, represented by Governor Joet Garcia, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 7, 2024. Said agreement establishes a partnership focused on advancing sustainable energy initiatives and economic growth in Bataan.

The MOA outlines the collaboration between parties to explore, develop, and implement renewable energy projects in the region. It is expected to bring many benefits, including an increase in the number of job opportunities in our province, technological advancement, and a cleaner environment.

Mariveles Power Plant Manager, Mathias Mancira, representative from Limay Battery Energy Storage System, Alvin Quilit, and SMGP Stakeholder Management and Community Relations, Enrico dela Torre were also present at the signing.
